Through strategic planning, investigative support, interagency coordination, and community outreach, our Task Force remains committed to protecting New York communities and supporting a unified fight against the state’s top drug threats.

DRUG REDUCTION

Reduce the supply of New York State’s top 5 drug threats — fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, and prescription pills — by providing:

  • Military planning

  • Leadership and decision-making support

  • Analytical expertise to Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs)

SUPPORT

Support federal, state, and local LEAs in:

  • Investigative analysis

  • Drug Demand Reduction

  • Outreach (DDRO) efforts

Assist LEAs with:

  • Investigating high-priority drug targets

  • Interdicting drugs at ports of entry

  • Seizing drug distribution hubs

LAISON

Act as a liaison between LEAs to improve:

  • Inter-agency communication

  • Knowledge sharing and coordination

STRATEGY

Apply evidence-based strategies from the NYNG CDP DDRO mission to:

  • Strengthen LEA effectiveness

  • Reduce illegal drug demand

  • Raise community awareness, health, and safety

READINESS

Enhance NYNG CDP service member readiness by providing:

  • Ongoing professional development

  • Specialized Counterdrug training

  • Utilization of the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP) to support LEAs effectively
